Visa Programme (PVIP)
Beginning October 1st, 2022, Malaysia invites affluent foreigners to apply for the Premium Visa Programme (PVIP), a “Residency Through Investment” initiative that allows participants to invest in and reside in Malaysia for 20 years, with the option to extend for an additional 20 years.
Requirements

Investment
Principal applicants must place a local fixed deposit of RM 1,000,000, with no withdrawals permitted for the first year. After the first year, up to 50% of the principal can be withdrawn.

Proof of Foreign Income
Principal applicants must show proof of offshore income of at least RM 40,000 per month or RM 480,000 per year.

Letter of Good Conduct
Principal applicants must provide a Letter of Good Conduct from their current country of residence.

Medical
Applicants and their dependants must submit a medical report from a Malaysian hospital or clinic and proof of valid local medical insurance.

Participation Fee
Principal applicants must pay a one-time fee of RM 200,000, with an additional RM 100,000 for each dependent.
